​Aaliyah Robinson was born on March 29, 1997, in Peoria, Illinois. Throughout her childhood she has been exposed to the arts— singing in the choir, being on the praise dance team, and playing the violin.

At Central high school, Aaliyah joined the Performing Arts Program where she discovered her passion for acting. She also joined the speech team and competed every week at Mid-State Conferences in the category of Humorous Interpretation and won many awards.

​

In August of 2015, Aaliyah attended Grambling State University where she majored in Visual & Performing Arts. While at Grambling, she gained experience in main-stage productions, played lead and supporting roles in four productions and competed at National Conferences.

​

She graduated with her B.A. Degree in Visual & Performing Arts in May of 2019. Aaliyah continues to pursue a career in the film industry and is currently a part of an intense acting program at The Acting Studio of Chicago.

​

Her goal is to exemplify characters that are under-represented in the media and to be a positive influence for others.
